Expert Repair for the Components Your Operation Depends On

Hydraulic Supply Company’s Hydraulic Repair & Service (HRS) Center of Excellence specializes in the repair, reconditioning, and overhaul of hydraulic components across leading brands. Cylinders, motors, pumps, valves, and power units are serviced by certified technicians with the tools, testing equipment, and parts inventory to get them back to spec.

For over 75 years, we have kept industrial and mobile equipment running. When a component comes into one of our repair centers, it leaves performing the way it should.

Length, stroke, preload, and free play built to your numbers — matched to lever throw and actuator travel.
Core, jacket, and seals selected for the temperature, fluids, vibration, and weather the assembly will see.
Clevises, studs, ball joints, eye ends, and bulkhead mounts in the sizes and threads your levers take.
Reverse-engineered from a sample when the part number is obsolete.

Hydraulic Repair FAQs

How does the hydraulic cylinder repair process work?

The process begins with a complete disassembly and inspection of all components. Worn or damaged parts are identified, seals are replaced, and the bore and rod are evaluated for honing or reconditioning as needed. The cylinder is then reassembled and pressure tested to 5,000 PSI before return to service.

How do you repair a leaking hydraulic cylinder?

Most hydraulic cylinder leaks are the result of worn or damaged seals. Our technicians disassemble the cylinder, replace all seals and gaskets, inspect the bore and rod surfaces, and reassemble with fresh components. Honing may be performed if the bore surface has degraded to the point where new seals would not hold.

How do you repair a hydraulic pump?

Hydraulic pump repair involves disassembling the unit, cleaning all internal components, and replacing worn parts such as seals, bearings, and gears. The pump is then reassembled and tested on our 200 HP test stand to verify pressure output and flow performance against OEM specifications.

How do you repair a hydraulic hose?

Damaged hose sections are cut out and replaced with new hose and fittings, crimped to ensure a secure and leak-free connection. HSC stocks a broad range of hose materials, sizes, and end fittings to support most industrial and mobile hydraulic applications.

What does it cost to repair a hydraulic cylinder?

Cost depends on the cylinder’s size, the extent of damage, and the replacement parts required. We provide a detailed estimate after inspection so you know exactly what is involved before committing to the repair.

What specialized programs are available?

We offer several programs designed to support specific repair and maintenance needs, including the Eaton Vane Pump Program. Contact your nearest HRS location to learn about current program offerings.

What testing capabilities do you offer?

Our 200 HP test stand with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) control allows us to test pumps and motors across the full range of operating conditions, validating performance before the component is reinstalled in your system.
