Running a 2.25 inch ID coolant hose on a heavy truck setup and need something that won't give out when things get hot under there. What kind of temps can this one actually hold up to?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 4, 2026, 11:56 AM
Continuous operation anywhere from -65°F up to 350°F is what this hose is rated for, so heat under a truck hood isn't going to be a problem. The 4-ply silicone construction reinforced with polyester fabric holds up well in those kinds of demanding engine bay conditions, and it meets SAE J20 R1 Class A along with TMC RP303B Class 1 Grade 1 requirements plus most OEM truck manufacturer specs. For coolant transfer in a heavy-duty application, it's built to handle the job without degrading from temperature swings.
