Question by: Carl M on Nov 13, 2025, 7:05 AM
Hey, can I use regular hose clamps with this stuff, or do I need somethin' special?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 15, 2025, 6:42 AM
For best results and a reliable seal, it's recommended to use Oetiker Stepless Ear Pinch Clamps, Oetiker Stepless Spring Clamps, or Trident #730 S.S. Constant-Torque Clamps. Avoid using serrated, slotted, or wire-type clamps as they might damage the hose.
Question by: Tammy C on Mar 5, 2026, 7:54 PM
got a heater hose run that sees some real heat, what temp range will this blue silicone hose actually handle?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 7, 2026, 6:29 AM
For temperature, it is rated for continuous service from -65°F up to 350°F, which fits the kind of hot engine-bay heater hose duty it is meant for.
Question by: Rod H on Oct 24, 2025, 3:21 PM
clamp type matters here, what kind should I be using with this hose, and are there any I need to stay away from?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 26, 2025, 8:20 AM
Oetiker Stepless Ear Pinch Clamps, Oetiker Stepless Spring Clamps, and Trident #730 S.S. Constant-Torque Clamps are all solid choices for this hose. What you want to avoid is serrated, slotted, or wire type clamps. Those styles can cut into the silicone over time and cause failure at the connection point, so stick with the smooth, even-clamping options listed.
