Silverair Series ARO ROD CLEVIS

Description & Features

Designed by Ingersoll-Rand for high-performance reliability the Aro Silverair Series Pneumatic Cylinders feature an expertly crafted 304 stainless steel barrel that is drawn and polished. The optional bumpers do not affect external dimensions and the piston rod is centerless ground and polished 303 stainless steel. The lightweight full-ported aluminum heads contribute to its overall streamlined design.

These cylinders include roll-formed piston rod threads and U-cup piston seals for enhanced durability. The oil-permeated bronze rod bushing (except for the 1/2 inch size which has a hard anodized front head) ensures efficient operation. High tensile alloy return springs are standard in single acting models providing extra dependability.

Buna-N seals come standard with Viton seals available on request. The product is prelubricated for ease of use. Optional magnetic pistons provide additional functionality except in the 1/2 inch size and single acting models. The maximum operating pressure reaches up to 200 PSI.

For models with 5 inches or more stroke in double acting nose mount universal mount or block front mount configurations the piston wear strip is standard. It is also standard on models with 3 inches or more stroke for single acting spring extended configurations. The temperature range of -40F to 160F ensures versatile application suitability.

what's the temp range on these silverair cylinders? got an application that swings pretty hard in both directions seasonally
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 23, 2025, 6:17 AM
Rated from -40°F up to 160°F, so fairly wide coverage for most industrial setups that see real weather extremes or heat from nearby equipment. That range holds for the full Silverair series, not just certain configurations.
