Hey, will this fitting work okay for hooking up some hose to a tank? Just need something reliable.

This Dixon Super King coupling is designed for that sort of industrial fluid transfer. That long shank and the NPT threads should give you a good, solid connection for your hose assembly.

got a 2 inch male NPT hookup, is this the long shank Super King coupling or am I lookin at the wrong thing
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 16, 2025, 6:14 AM
For a 2 inch male NPT threaded connection, this part matches that setup. It is a Dixon Super King long shank coupling with a plated steel body, so you get the longer thread engagement compared to a standard shank style.
Question by: Jimmy S on Sep 25, 2025, 8:20 PM
Got a hose assembly running off a 2-inch line with a lot of shake to it from the pump. Would this long shank setup hold up better than a standard length coupling in that kind of situation?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 27, 2025, 6:20 PM
The extra shank length on this Dixon fitting gives you more thread engagement, which helps maintain a solid seal when there's vibration in the line. Standard couplings can work loose or weep at the connection point under that kind of constant movement. For high-vibration pump setups, the long shank design is generally the better call over a short shank version.
