Both ends got R 1/2 - 14 BSPT threading on this thing, right? Just want to make sure before I go swapping out the old nipple on my hydraulic line.

Correct on both counts. Each end carries R 1/2 - 14 male BSPT threading, so you're looking at a true matched hex nipple rather than a reducing or adapter style fitting. Worth double-checking that your existing ports are BSPT and not NPT before you pull the trigger, since those two thread standards look similar but aren't interchangeable.

got a fitting with R 1/2 - 14 on it already, is this nipple the same thread on both ends?
