fitting's 41mm long total, will that give me enough clearance workin in a tight spot on a manifold block, or is that gonna be a problem?

At 41mm overall length, it's a fairly compact straight adapter. Whether that works in a tight space really comes down to your specific mounting geometry, but for a straight fitting this size is pretty manageable. The 27mm wrench width means you'll need standard tooling to seat it properly, so just make sure you've got enough room to swing a wrench on that hex.
