got a line running 1/4" JIC on one end that needs to tie into a BSPT port, this adapter do that straight through?

That's what this fitting is built for. One end is 1/4" male JIC with a 7/16-20 UNF thread, and the other is 1/4" male BSPT running an R 1/4-19 thread. Straight configuration, no bends or offsets. The overall length comes in at 36.9mm, so it's a compact connection without a lot of added hydraulic connections distance.

trying to hook up a 1/4 jic hose end to a 1/4 bspt port. is this the right adapter

Is this fitting made of regular stainless steel or the 316 stuff?
