got a port threaded G 3/4 - 14, is this the right plug for that or am i mixing up thread types

For a G 3/4 - 14 threaded port, this is a matching male BSPP hex plug. It uses the British Standard Parallel Pipe form, so it fits BSPP-ported components that call out G 3/4 - 14.
