Got a system running BSPP ports on the equipment side and JIC lines coming off the pump, would this fitting bridge that gap without needing an adapter stack?

That's exactly the kind of situation this fitting handles. One end is a 3/8" male JIC (9/16-18 UNF) and the other is a 3/8" male BSPP (G 3/8-19), so it connects those two thread standards directly in a single piece. No stacking adapters, no extra potential leak points. Both sides are the same nominal 3/8" size, so the flow path stays consistent through the joint.

trying to swap a fitting on a hose, is this one 3/8 JIC on one side and 3/8 BSPP on the other?

Thread-wise, it is a 3/8 inch male JIC on one end with a 9/16-18 UNF callout, and a 3/8 inch male BSPP on the other with a G 3/8-19 callout.
