TRIDENT RUBBER LLC provides an all-weather solution with the All Stainless Steel Constant Torque Clamp For 2-3/8 to 3 Inch Hose ID 2.75 - 3.625 Inch Hose OD Range. This clamp is engineered to manage thermal expansion and contraction ensuring a secure fit under extreme temperature variations.

Constructed with a 5/8 inch wide 304 stainless steel band and 304 stainless steel housing it delivers exceptional durability. The 410 stainless steel Belleville spring washers and screw add further strength and longevity. An internal liner is included to safeguard soft or silicone hoses from potential damage extrusion and shear.

Notable for its extended adjustment range of 7/8 inch O.D. this clamp is particularly effective for sealed systems and installations that are difficult to access. The visual "Torque Check" feature ensures proper installation.

A torque wrench is recommended for tightening to achieve the 90-125 inch pound installation torque with the screw tip fully extending beyond the housing by approximately 1/4 inch and the Belleville washer stacks nearly flat.

What size hose does this clamp fit best? I'm lookin' at a 2 1/2 inch ID hose.

This constant torque clamp works with hoses having an inner diameter from 2-3/8 inches to 3 inches. So, a 2 1/2 inch ID hose should be a good fit.

does this clamp actually hold steady when temps swing a lot, like real hot then cold? worried about it loosening up over time on a silicone hose

That's exactly what the constant torque design handles. The Belleville spring washers built into the clamp maintain continuous pressure as the hose material expands and contracts with temperature changes. So instead of going slack when things cool down or over-compressing when they heat up, the clamp adjusts and holds consistent clamping force throughout. The internal liner also protects silicone hose from getting cut into or extruded under that pressure, which is a real concern with softer hose materials.
