got a 3/4 NPT male port on a hydraulic block and need to tie into a JIC line, this the right adapter for that?

Yeah, that's exactly the crossover this fitting handles. One end is 3/4-14 male NPT, the other is 1-1/16-12 male JIC with a 37 degree flare seat. If your hose end or tube fitting is a female JIC 37 degree, you're set.
