trying to swap out an old fitting, is this the one that goes from 1/2-14 male npt to 3/4-16 male JIC flare?

got a 1/2 NPT male port on a hydraulic block and need to run a JIC line off it -- will this adapter do the job straight off the shelf?

For that exact connection, yes. One end threads into your 1/2-14 NPT port, and the other end gives you a 3/4-16 male JIC 37 degree flare seat to mate your JIC fitting or hose end directly to.
