adapter's 2.04 inches long, is that the full end-to-end measurement or just the body without the threads?

That 2.04 inch figure is the overall length of the adapter as listed, covering the full piece from end to end. Keep that in mind when you're fitting it into a tight space, since both threaded ends are included in that measurement.
