Question by: Randy Y on May 16, 2025, 10:44 AM
does this bushing go from a half inch male down to a three eighth female? trying to figure out if it'll work for a reducer situation on my rig
Answer by: Customer Support on May 17, 2025, 1:12 PM
That's what it does. The male end is 1/2-14 NPT and the female end is 3/8-18 NPT, so it steps down the connection just like you're describing. At only 1.1 inches long it won't eat up much room either, which helps when you're working in a tight spot.
Question by: Rusty H on Mar 20, 2026, 7:13 PM
got a 1/2-14 npt port but my line is 3/8 npt, is this the bushing that steps it down?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 22, 2026, 6:03 AM
Built as a reducing bushing, it threads a 1/2-14 Male NPT end into your larger port and gives you a 3/8-18 Female NPT opening to connect the smaller NPT fitting.
Question by: Sheila A on Nov 16, 2025, 6:03 AM
Will this adapter hold up if I'm running hydraulic fluid through it, or is it more for air lines and stuff?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 18, 2025, 6:09 AM
Designed for robust industrial applications, this stainless steel adapter is definitely suitable for hydraulic fluid. It's made to provide a secure, leak-proof connection in hydraulic systems.
