i’ve got a hose that measures right around 1-1/4 inch on the outside. is this clamp in the right ballpark or am i gonna be fighting it

This clamp covers a diameter range from 1.1875 inches up to 1.4375 inches, so a hose sitting around 1.25 inches OD is within its adjustment window.
Question by: Carl B on Aug 31, 2025, 8:32 PM
band's only .025 thick on this one -- that gonna hold up alright for clamping down on hose in a shop environment, or is that too light for real work?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 2, 2025, 7:22 AM
For most shop and industrial hose clamping jobs, that band thickness handles the load just fine. The 301 stainless steel construction gives it solid corrosion resistance and enough structural integrity to hold firm under normal operating conditions. Combined with the T-bolt tightening system and a self-locking nut, you get a clamp that stays put without backing off over time. The 70 in. lbs. max torque rating gives you a reasonable ceiling to work within, so as long as you're not exceeding that during installation, the band thickness isn't going to be your weak point.
