i’ve got a hose that measures right around 4.2 inches on the outside, is that in the sweet spot for this clamp?

Fit comes down to the clamp’s diameter range, and this one adjusts from 4.03 to 4.34 inches. A 4.2 inch hose OD falls inside that window, so it’s within the intended clamping range.

Does the bolt and nut on this thing hold up or do they rust out on ya after a while?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 26, 2025, 12:23 PM
The band itself is 301 stainless steel, so corrosion resistance on that part is solid. The bolt is carbon steel, which is worth knowing upfront if you're running it somewhere with a lot of moisture or chemical exposure. The self-locking nut does help keep things from backing off under vibration, but that carbon steel bolt is the one component where you'd see wear faster in harsh wet environments.
