what industries is this adapter actually used in? trying to figure out if it fits what we do before ordering
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 1, 2026, 1:41 PM
Pulp and paper, food and beverage processing, chemical processing, marine and military applications, and offshore drilling are all listed uses for this adapter. It handles environments where reliable pipe-to-flare connections matter and exposure to harsh or regulated conditions is common. If your operation falls into any of those categories, it lines up well with what this fitting is built for.
Question by: Cheryl R on Mar 24, 2026, 2:02 PM
trying to hook up a female npt port to a jic hose end, does this elbow do that or am i lookin at the wrong thing
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 26, 2026, 6:04 AM
Function-wise it bridges those two connection types in a 90 degree elbow. One side is a 1-1/2-11-1/2 female NPT (NPTF internal pipe) and the other side is a 1-7/8-12 male JIC with a 37 degree flare, so it’s meant for exactly that kind of NPT to JIC transition.
