Designed for high-demand industrial environments, the Steel Adapter, 1/4-18 Female NPT To 9/16-18 Male JIC 37 Deg Flare, 90 Deg Elbow is an Eaton Aeroquip 2025 Series fitting that transitions between female NPTF and male SAE 37-degree flare connections at a 90-degree angle. The elbow configuration is well suited for routing fluid lines in tight or confined spaces where a straight adapter would not align correctly.
Catalog number C1AW52, this adapter is rated for use across a broad range of industries including marine and military, chemical processing, pulp and paper, food and beverage processing, and offshore drilling, reflecting its compatibility with varied fluid types and operating conditions. Dimensional references include an A value of 0.88 and a B value of 1.09.

got a hose end thats 9/16-18 JIC, will this elbow screw right onto it and give me a 1/4-18 female pipe port on the other side?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 20, 2025, 7:50 AM
Function-wise it is a 90 degree elbow adapter that goes from 9/16-18 male JIC 37 degree flare on one end to 1/4-18 female NPTF on the other, so it matches those thread types and sizes.

i got a hose end that’s 9/16-18 jic, and the port on the block is 1/4-18 npt. is this the elbow that ties those together?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 16, 2025, 6:46 AM
Function-wise, yes. It is a 90 degree elbow adapter with a 1/4-18 female NPT (NPTF internal pipe) on one end and a 9/16-18 male JIC 37 degree flare on the other, so it bridges those two thread styles and sizes.

Will this fitting work for hydraulic lines on my tractor? I'm needing to adapt a 1/4" NPT to a 9/16" JIC.
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 26, 2025, 9:13 AM
This adapter is designed to connect a 1/4-18 female NPT to a 9/16-18 male JIC 37-degree flare at a 90-degree angle. So if those are the fittings you need to adapt, this should do the trick.
