Constructed from steel, this 90-degree elbow adapter connects 9/16-18 Female JIC 37° Flare Swivel to 9/16-18 Male JIC 37° Flare fittings, making it well suited for directional routing in tight or angled installations. The swivel feature on the female end allows for easier assembly and alignment without twisting the connected line. Both ends conform to SAE 37° flare standards, with a tube O.D. of 0.38 inches and a hex size of 0.69 inches on the male end.
The Steel Adapter, 9/16-18 Female JIC 37 deg Flare Swivel To 9/16-18 Male JIC 37 deg Flare, 90 deg Elbow is rated for a minimum working temperature of -65°F, supporting reliable performance across demanding environments. Sourced from Danfoss Power Solutions (formerly Aeroquip), this fitting carries catalog number C1BA24 and is suited for use in marine, military, chemical processing, pulp and paper, food and beverage processing, and off-shore drilling applications. No thread sealant is required.

trying to swap out an elbow on a line, is this one 9/16-18 on both ends and JIC flare?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 8, 2025, 6:17 AM
Both ends are SAE 37 degree flare (JIC) with 9/16-18 threads. One side is a female JIC swivel and the other is a male JIC, and the body is a 90 degree elbow.

Got a tight spot on a hydraulic line where I need to make a 90 degree turn with a JIC fitting. This one swivel on the female end, or is it fixed once you torque it down?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 30, 2025, 2:59 PM
The female JIC end on this adapter is a swivel, so it stays rotatable until you tighten the connection. That gives you some room to work in cramped installations where lining everything up before final torque makes a real difference. Once both ends are seated and tightened, the assembly locks into position. The male JIC end is fixed, so you're working the angle off that 90 degree elbow geometry combined with the swivel adjustment on the female side.
