Manufactured by Eaton Aeroquip, this straight steel adapter connects a 7/8-14 female JIC 37° flare port to a 3/4-16 male JIC 37° flare fitting in a single inline configuration. The 2215 Series Steel Adapter, 7/8-14 Female JIC 37 deg Flare To 3/4-16 Male JIC 37 deg Flare, Straight is suited for hydraulic, instrumentation, and chemical processing systems where a reliable JIC-to-JIC union with differing thread sizes is required.
Constructed from steel and finished with a straight body profile, the adapter maintains a compact overall length of 1.53 inches. The 37-degree flare seat on both ends ensures a leak-resistant metal-to-metal seal consistent with SAE JIC standards.

Will this fitting work with standard JIC flared hydraulic lines?

Yes, this is a straight adapter designed to connect two JIC 37-degree flared fittings. One side is a 7/8-14 female, and the other is a 3/4-16 male.

Been trying to find something to step down from a 7/8-14 JIC female port to a 3/4-16 JIC male fitting. This the right part for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 3, 2025, 6:21 AM
That's what this adapter does. The female end is 7/8-14 JIC 37 degree flare, and the male end is 3/4-16 JIC 37 degree flare, so it reduces between those two thread sizes in a straight configuration. Both ends use the standard 37 degree flare seat, so as long as your mating fittings match those specs, it'll connect up clean.
