Configured as a 90-degree elbow, the Steel Adapter, 1/2-14 Female NPT Swivel To 3/8-18 Male NPT, 90 deg Elbow from Eaton Aeroquip is part of the 2047 Series and transitions between a 1/2-14 female NPT swivel (NPSM internal) and a 3/8-18 male NPT (NPTF external) connection. The swivel design allows rotational adjustment during installation, reducing stress on connected lines in tight or angled routing situations.
Suited for demanding industrial environments, this adapter sees use across marine and military applications, chemical processing, pulp and paper, food and beverage processing, and off-shore drilling. Dimensions include an A value of 1 and a B value of 1.67.

trying to hook a 1/2-14 female swivel side to a 3/8-18 male pipe thread, is that what this elbow is?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 24, 2025, 6:46 AM
For a pipe-to-pipe hookup, it matches that combo: one end is 1/2-14 female NPSM swivel and the other end is 3/8-18 male NPTF, formed as a 90 degree elbow.

trying to swap a straight fitting for an elbow, is this one a 90 degree with a 1/2-14 female swivel on one side and 3/8-18 male npt on the other?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 14, 2026, 8:21 AM
Built as a 90 degree elbow adapter, it connects a 1/2-14 female NPT swivel end (NPSM internal pipe swivel) to a 3/8-18 male NPT end (NPTF external pipe).

this one a 90 degree elbow, right? trying to route a line around a tight corner and need to step down from half inch female NPT to three-eighths male NPT at the same time
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 14, 2025, 2:43 PM
Correct on both counts. The fitting makes a 90 degree turn and handles that size reduction in a single piece, going from 1/2-14 female NPT swivel on one end to 3/8-18 male NPT on the other. The swivel on the female end also gives you a little flexibility when you're tightening things up, which helps a lot when you're working in a cramped spot and can't easily rotate the line itself.
