Part of the Eaton Aeroquip 2045 Series, this Steel Adapter, 3/8-18 Female NPT Swivel To 1/4-18 Male NPT, Straight provides a reliable threaded connection between NPSM internal pipe swivel and NPTF external pipe fittings in a straight configuration. The swivel end simplifies installation in tight or fixed-line assemblies by allowing rotation during make-up without twisting the connected line.

Suited for demanding industrial environments, this adapter is specified for use in marine and military, chemical processing, pulp and paper, food and beverage processing, and offshore drilling applications. With an A dimension of 1.25, it is a compact solution where a straight reducer adapter is needed between 3/8 and 1/4 NPT threaded ports.

got a hose end with a 3/8-18 female swivel on it, will this adapter let me hook it to a 1/4-18 male npt port?

Function-wise, yes. It’s a straight steel adapter that goes from a 3/8-18 female NPT swivel (NPSM internal pipe swivel) over to a 1/4-18 male NPT (NPTF external pipe) connection.

Got a line running 3/8 female NPT on one end and a 1/4 male NPT fitting on the other. This adapter gonna bridge that gap without needing extra pieces in between?

That's exactly what this part is built for. The swivel end is 3/8-18 female NPT and the fixed end is 1/4-18 male NPT, so it connects those two thread sizes in one straight adapter with no additional couplings needed.
