Is this the right fitting to use with a one-wire braid hose?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 21, 2025, 6:31 AM
Yes, this steel crimp fitting is designed for one-wire braid, reduced bore applications.
Question by: Troy E on Nov 12, 2025, 6:19 PM
got a -12 hose and need a straight female JIC swivel, is this the one that crimps on for a 1 wire braid reduced bore setup?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 14, 2025, 6:50 AM
For a -12 hose in a 1 wire braid reduced bore application, this fitting matches that setup. It is a straight steel crimp fitting with a female JIC 37 degree flare swivel end and a 1-1/16 - 12 thread on the JIC side.
Question by: Janice C on Jan 14, 2026, 8:19 AM
fitting says "reduced bore" on it, does that mean flow's gonna be restricted compared to a standard -12 fitting?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 16, 2026, 7:12 AM
Reduced bore does mean the internal passage is smaller than a full-bore -12 fitting. For most standard industrial hose runs that aren't pushing extreme flow demands, it works just fine. Where it matters is in applications where you're already running near the edge on flow velocity or pressure drop. If your system was sized around a full-bore -12, you'd want to double-check that before swapping this one in.
