Question by: Peggy K on Apr 17, 2025, 6:03 AM
does this adapter work without any thread sealant, or do I need to tape it up before installin?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 18, 2025, 8:00 AM
No sealant or tape needed on this one. The connection between the male BSPP and male BSPT threads is engineered to seal without it, so you can go ahead and make the connection as-is. That said, make sure both mating threads are clean and in good condition before you torque it down.

Is this thing safe to use with hydraulic fluid, or is it just for air lines and stuff like that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 9, 2025, 7:31 PM
This adapter is designed for industrial settings, so it's definitely made to handle hydraulic applications. It ensures a secure, leak-free connection without needing any sealant.
Question by: Bonnie Y on Aug 30, 2025, 9:26 PM
got a hose end that’s 1/4-19 BSPP male, and I need to tie into a BSPT male port. is this the right little adapter for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 1, 2025, 12:01 PM
Function-wise, it is a straight steel thread adapter that converts a 1/4-19 male BSPP (parallel) connection over to a male BSPT (tapered) thread, so it is meant for exactly that kind of BSPP-to-BSPT changeover.
