Designed for brake line connections in automotive and light industrial applications, this Steel Brake System Adapter, -03 Male JIC 37 deg Flare To 3/8-24 Male 42 deg Inverted Flare, Straight bridges two common brake fitting standards in a single straight body. One end features a -03 male JIC 37-degree flare; the other terminates in a 3/8-24 male 42-degree inverted flare, the configuration commonly required in hydraulic brake circuits.
Manufactured by Eaton Aeroquip, this steel adapter is suited for use where a direct, low-profile transition between JIC and inverted flare threads is needed. The straight geometry keeps routing clean and minimizes the number of connection points in a brake line assembly.

Got a brake line that terminates in a JIC 37 degree fitting and I need to tie into a system running 3/8-24 inverted flare. this adapter do that job in one piece or am I gonna need more hardware?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 18, 2025, 8:08 AM
One piece is all you need here. One end is a -03 male JIC 37 degree flare and the other is a 3/8-24 male 42 degree inverted flare, so it bridges those two standards directly without any additional fittings in between. The straight body keeps the connection compact and the routing clean, which matters when you're working in tight brake line runs.

got a brake line with a -03 male JIC on one side and the other end needs 3/8-24 inverted flare. is this the right little adapter for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 12, 2025, 8:57 PM
For that exact mix of ends, yes. One side is a -03 male JIC 37 degree flare, and the other side is a 3/8-24 male 42 degree inverted flare, all in a straight steel body.
