what's the thread size difference between the two ends on this adapter? tryin to figure out if it'll work between my hydraulic line and a smaller port fitting
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 2, 2025, 5:23 PM
One end is 7/8-14 male JIC and the other is 9/16-18 male JIC, both with the standard 37 degree flare seat. So yeah, it steps down from the larger thread to the smaller one in a straight configuration. If your line and port match those two sizes, you're good to go.

Will this adapter work alright for connecting two JIC flared fittings? Just makin' sure before I order.
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 13, 2026, 6:22 AM
Yes, this adapter is designed to connect two SAE 37-degree flare fittings, which JIC fittings are based on. It'll provide a secure and reliable connection in hydraulic, instrumentation, and chemical processing systems.

trying to hook up a 7/8-14 jic line to a 9/16-18 jic line, is this the right straight adapter for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 15, 2025, 6:37 PM
Function-wise, it is a straight union adapter that connects a 7/8-14 male JIC 37 degree flare on one end to a 9/16-18 male JIC 37 degree flare on the other.
