got a 1/2-20 JIC fitting on my hydraulic line and need to step it down to a 7/16-20 JIC on the other end, this the right part for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 15, 2026, 3:29 PM
That's what this adapter is built for. One end is 1/2-20 male JIC 37 degree flare, the other is 7/16-20 male JIC 37 degree flare, straight configuration. Both ends use the same SAE 37 degree flare seating, so as long as your mating fittings are female JIC on both sides, you're good to go.
Question by: Duane J on Feb 26, 2026, 10:49 AM
i got two lines that are both jic flare, but one’s 1/2-20 and the other is 7/16-20. is this the straight union that ties those together?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 28, 2026, 6:56 AM
It’s a straight union adapter with male JIC 37 degree flare on both ends, one side 1/2-20 and the other 7/16-20, so it’s meant to join those two JIC flare thread sizes together.
