Constructed from steel, this straight union adapter connects a 3/4-16 Male JIC 37° Flare fitting to a 9/16-18 Male JIC 37° Flare fitting, making it well-suited for reducing or adapting between two different JIC thread sizes in a single inline connection. Both ends feature SAE 37° flare seating, providing a reliable metal-to-metal seal without thread sealant required.
The Steel Adapter, 3/4-16 Male JIC 37 deg Flare To 9/16-18 Male JIC 37 deg Flare, Straight is part of the Danfoss Power Solutions (Aeroquip) 2027 Series and is rated for use down to -65°F minimum working temperature. It is appropriate for hydraulic, instrumentation, and chemical processing systems where a straight male-to-male JIC union adapter is needed.

trying to swap a line over, is this the straight union that goes from 3/4-16 JIC male to 9/16-18 JIC male

It matches a male JIC 37 degree flare on both ends with those exact threads: one end is 3/4-16 male and the other is 9/16-18 male, in a straight union style.

got a line running 3/4-16 JIC on one end and need to step it down to 9/16-18 JIC on the other, this adapter do that straight through?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 29, 2025, 7:02 PM
That's what this one's built for. The 2027-8-6S connects a 3/4-16 male JIC 37 degree flare on one side to a 9/16-18 male JIC 37 degree flare on the other, in a straight configuration. Both ends use the same SAE 37 degree flare seating, so as long as your mating fittings are female JIC on both sides, you're good to go.
