Steel Brake System Adapter, -03 Male JIC 37 deg Flare To 10mm x 1 Male Metric Flare, Straight

Description & Features

Manufactured from steel and designed for brake system adaptation, this straight fitting connects a -03 Male JIC 37° flare to a 10mm x 1 Male Metric flare. It is well-suited for hydraulic brake circuits where a transition between JIC and metric flare thread forms is required in a single inline connection.

The Steel Brake System Adapter, -03 Male JIC 37 deg Flare To 10mm x 1 Male Metric Flare, Straight is an Eaton Aeroquip product cataloged under part number C1EB74. Steel construction provides durability in demanding brake system environments where consistent sealing and thread integrity are critical.

Question by: Warren E on Sep 18, 2025, 7:22 PM
Got a brake line on an older piece of equipment with a 10mm x 1 metric fitting on one end and JIC on the other, this adapter cover that kind of crossover situation?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 20, 2025, 6:19 AM
That's the kind of job this part handles. One end is a -03 Male JIC 37 degree flare, the other is 10mm x 1 Male Metric flare, and it runs straight through with no bends or offsets. It's made by Eaton Aeroquip, part number FBM2941, also cataloged as C1EB74. Steel construction, so it holds up in brake circuit environments where thread integrity and a solid seal matter. If those two thread forms match what you're working with, this is a direct inline solution.

Will this here adapter work to hook up the brake lines on my '67 Mustang? I'm swapping in a new master cylinder with metric fittings.

This steel brake adapter is designed to adapt a -03 Male JIC 37° flare to a 10mm x 1 Male Metric flare. It's a straight fitting, so it provides an inline connection between those two thread types.

got a brake line with a -03 JIC 37 degree flare on one end and 10mm x 1 metric flare on the other. is this the right adapter or am i mixing stuff up
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 10, 2025, 5:05 PM
For a straight, inline transition between those two flare standards, that is exactly what this fitting is made for. It has a -03 male JIC 37 degree flare on one side and a 10mm x 1 male metric flare on the other, so it is meant to bridge JIC to metric in a hydraulic brake circuit.
