fitting's got a 90 degree elbow on it, so does the female JIC end swivel independent of the elbow body, or is the whole thing fixed once you thread it in?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 20, 2026, 10:42 AM
The JIC end on this adapter is a swivel, meaning you can rotate it to align your hose or tube after the male NPT side is already threaded into place. That's a real practical advantage when you're working in a tight spot and can't spin the whole assembly. The NPT side threads in and stays put, and you adjust the JIC connection separately to get your line running the direction you need.

got a hose end that’s 7/8-14 female JIC swivel, will this elbow screw right into a 1/2-14 NPT port and still let me hook that hose up?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 6, 2025, 9:31 AM
Hookup is exactly what this adapter is for. One side is 1/2-14 male NPT (pipe thread) for the port, and the other side is a 7/8-14 female JIC 37 degree flare swivel to mate with a matching JIC male flare.
