Designed for tight-routing applications, the Steel Adapter, 3/4-14 Male NPT To 7/8-14 Male JIC 37 Deg Flare, 90 Deg Elbow is part of the Eaton Aeroquip 2024 Series and provides a reliable 90-degree transition between NPTF external pipe threads and SAE 37-degree flare fittings. The elbow configuration allows direction changes within constrained spaces without requiring additional fittings or bends in the line.
Suited for demanding industrial environments, this adapter sees use across marine and military, chemical processing, pulp and paper, food and beverage processing, and offshore drilling applications. With overall dimensions of 1.59 inches (A) by 1.54 inches (B), it is a compact fitting well matched to hydraulic systems where space and connection integrity both matter. Catalog reference C1AV86 applies.

fitting's got a 3/4 NPT on one end and a 7/8-14 JIC on the other -- that right? just want to make sure before i order

That's what you've got. One end is 3/4-14 male NPT, the other is 7/8-14 male JIC with a 37 degree flare seat, and the whole thing bends 90 degrees between them. It's a common size pairing when you're transitioning from a pipe thread port over to a JIC hose end and need to change direction at the same time.
