trying to hook a 1/4 pipe port to a 3/8 tube JIC line, is this the right elbow?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 5, 2026, 6:35 AM
Matches that setup. One end is 1/4-18 male NPTF pipe thread, and the other end is a 9/16-18 male SAE 37 degree flare, which corresponds to 3/8 inch tube O.D. on the JIC side. It is a 90 degree elbow adapter.
Question by: Lyle R on Oct 20, 2025, 7:01 PM
Is this elbow adapter suitable for marine applications, or will saltwater cause it to corrode?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 21, 2025, 9:19 PM
This Eaton Aeroquip adapter is listed as suitable for marine applications, along with chemical processing, pulp and paper, and even off-shore drilling, suggesting it's built to withstand some pretty tough environments.

got a 1/4 NPT port on a hydraulic manifold and need to run a 9/16-18 JIC line off it at a right angle, this the right fitting for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 30, 2025, 7:30 PM
That's exactly what this adapter is built for. One end is 1/4-18 male NPT, the other is 9/16-18 male JIC with a 37 degree flare, and the 90 degree elbow gives you that right angle turn between the two connections. It's a steel Eaton Aeroquip piece from their 2024 series, so the construction is solid for hydraulic line work.
