Designed for cross-connection between NPT and JIC fluid lines, this Eaton Aeroquip Steel Adapter, 3/8-18 Male NPT To 7/16-20 Male JIC 37 Deg Flare, 90 Deg Elbow provides a reliable 90-degree transition in space-constrained hydraulic assemblies. The 37-degree flare JIC end mates securely with standard SAE flare fittings, while the male NPT thread seals against tapered pipe threads without additional components.

Part of the Eaton Aeroquip 2024 Series, this steel elbow adapter is well suited for demanding environments including marine, military, chemical processing, pulp and paper, food and beverage processing, and offshore drilling applications. Compact overall dimensions, 1.22 in. on the A dimension and 0.98 in. on the B dimension, make it practical where routing space is limited.

fitting goes from 3/8 NPT on one end to 7/16-20 JIC on the other -- that right? trying to make sure before i order

That's what you've got. The male NPT side is 3/8-18 thread and the male JIC end is 7/16-20 with a 37 degree flare seat. The 90 degree elbow lets you change direction right at the connection point, which comes in real handy when you're working in tight quarters or routing a line around an obstruction.
