Constructed from steel for durability in demanding industrial environments, this 90-degree elbow adapter connects a 3/8-18 Male NPTF thread to a 3/4-16 Male JIC 37° Flare fitting. Manufactured by Danfoss Power Solutions (Aeroquip), it carries catalog number C1AW33 and is rated for a minimum working temperature of -65°F, making it suitable for a wide range of operating conditions.
The Steel Adapter, 3/8-18 Male NPT To 3/4-16 Male JIC 37 Deg Flare, 90 Deg Elbow is designed for use across marine and military, chemical processing, pulp and paper, food and beverage processing, and off-shore drilling applications. The 90-degree elbow configuration accommodates tight routing constraints in hydraulic assemblies. The tube OD is 0.5 inches, with a drop dimension of 1.25 inches.

got a tight spot on a hose run. is this the 90 degree elbow that goes from 3/8-18 male npt to 3/4-16 male jic flare?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 22, 2025, 8:33 PM
For a right-angle connection, it matches that setup: one end is 3/8-18 male NPTF pipe thread and the other end is 3/4-16 male SAE 37 degree (JIC) flare, built as a 90 degree elbow adapter.
Question by: Harold B on Jan 28, 2026, 9:17 AM
Got a line running from a hydraulic pump to a control valve where the fitting spot is kind of tucked in at an angle, will this adapter let me swing the JIC end around once it's threaded in, or is it fixed once you tighten it down?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 30, 2026, 6:50 AM
Fixed once tightened. The 90-degree elbow geometry is set, so there's no swivel on the JIC end. You'll want to plan your line routing before you wrench it down, because once the NPT side bites into the port, that JIC male end is pointing one direction and staying there. The offset does give you a good bit of flexibility in tight spots compared to a straight adapter, but the angle itself doesn't adjust.
