trying to hook a 1/2-14 pipe thread into a 3/4-16 JIC line, is this the right elbow for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 2, 2025, 6:11 AM
For that kind of hookup, you want an adapter with a 1/2-14 male NPTF on one end and a 3/4-16 male SAE 37 degree (JIC) flare on the other, and this one is exactly that in a 90 degree elbow.

Got a 1/2 NPT male port on a pump housing and need to swing the line out at a right angle before connecting to a 3/4-16 JIC fitting. this the right adapter for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 30, 2025, 8:32 AM
that setup is exactly what this piece is built for. The male NPT end threads into your 1/2-14 port on the pump, and the 90-degree elbow redirects the line so the 3/4-16 male JIC flare end can connect straight to your JIC hose end or fitting. The 37-degree flare seat on the JIC side gives you a solid metal-to-metal seal when everything is torqued down right. Steel construction means it holds up in the kind of working environments where you need a fitting that isn't going to give you trouble.
