i’ve got a hose end that’s 9/16-18 JIC, will this adapter thread right into it and still let me go to 1/4-18 pipe?

Built for exactly that hookup, one side is a 9/16-18 male JIC 37 degree flare and the other side is a 1/4-18 male NPTF pipe thread. It is a straight steel adapter, so it is meant to connect those two thread types in-line.

i got a hose end that’s 9/16-18 jic, and the port on the other side is 1/4 npt. is this the straight adapter that ties those two together?

You’re looking at a straight steel adapter with a 1/4-18 male NPT on one end and a 9/16-18 male JIC 37 degree flare on the other. It’s meant to bridge those two thread types in a straight run.

What's the A dimension on this adapter?

The A dimension, which I believe refers to the overall length, is 1.43 inches.
