Part of the Eaton Aeroquip 2021 Series, this straight steel adapter connects a 1/2-14 Male NPT thread to a 7/16-20 Male JIC 37-degree flare, making it well-suited for joining pipe-threaded components to JIC flare-end lines in a single, compact fitting. The straight configuration keeps the connection inline without added bends or offset.
Rated for demanding service environments, this adapter sees use across marine and military applications, chemical processing, pulp and paper, food and beverage processing, and offshore drilling. The Steel Adapter, 1/2-14 Male NPT To 7/16-20 Male JIC 37 deg Flare, Straight is cataloged under Eaton Aeroquip catalog number C1AV31 and carries an overall length (A dimension) of 1.68 inches.

i’ve got a hose end that’s 7/16-20 JIC flare. will this adapter let me hook it up to a 1/2-14 NPT port?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 6, 2025, 7:28 AM
Hookup-wise, yes. One end of this adapter is 1/2-14 male NPT, and the other end is 7/16-20 male JIC with a 37 degree flare, so it’s meant to bridge those two thread types in a straight configuration.

Will this fitting work for connecting a hydraulic line to a pressure gauge?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 4, 2025, 5:18 PM
This adapter is designed to connect a 1/2-14 male NPT (National Pipe Taper) port to a 7/16-20 male JIC (Joint Industry Council) 37-degree flared fitting. So, as long as your pressure gauge and hydraulic line match those connection types, it should work.
