what's the thread setup on this tee? trying to figure out if the branch and the run are different sizes before i order
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 9, 2025, 11:58 AM
The branch port is 1/2-14 Male NPT and the run ports are 7/8-14 Male JIC 37 degree flare. So yes, you're working with two different thread standards on the same fitting. That's the whole point of this adapter style. It lets you tie an NPT pipe connection into a JIC flare line without needing extra fittings in between.

Will this tee fitting work with hydraulic systems and some chemical processing stuff?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 21, 2026, 6:24 AM
It's made for hydraulic, instrumentation, and chemical processing systems, so you should be good to go.

got a setup where the branch is 1/2-14 male NPT, and the run needs 7/8-14 male JIC flare. is that what this tee actually is
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 8, 2025, 6:14 AM
Function-wise, it is a steel tee adapter with a 1/2-14 male NPT branch connection and a 7/8-14 male JIC 37 degree flare male run connection.
