trying to hook a 1/2-14 npt line into a jic setup, is this the tee that does that?

Built for that exact thread change, this adapter has a 1/2-14 male NPT on one end and 7/8-14 male JIC 37 degree flare connections on the run and the branch, in a tee body.

got a 1/2-14 NPT port on a manifold block and need to split off two JIC lines from it -- this tee gonna handle that setup?

That's what this fitting is built for. The run port is 1/2-14 male NPT, so it threads straight into your manifold, and both branch outlets are 7/8-14 male JIC with a 37 degree flare. You get two JIC connections off one NPT port without needing extra adapters in between.
