Part of the Eaton Aeroquip 2062 Series, this Steel Adapter, 1-5/8-12 Male SAE O-Ring Boss (Straight Thread O-Ring) To 1-5/16-12 Male JIC 37 Deg Flare, 90 Deg Elbow provides a reliable 90-degree transition between SAE O-Ring Boss and JIC 37-degree flare connections in demanding hydraulic systems. The straight thread O-Ring Boss end delivers leak-resistant sealing, while the JIC flare end ensures broad compatibility with standard hydraulic fittings and hose assemblies.
Constructed in steel, this elbow adapter is suited for use across a range of industrial environments, including marine and military, chemical processing, pulp and paper, food and beverage processing, and offshore drilling. Dimensional attributes, with an A measurement of 2.2 and a B measurement of 2.09, support accurate installation planning. The catalog reference for this part is C1Az45.

got a hose end that’s 1-5/8-12 SAE o-ring boss, will this elbow mate up to a 1-5/16-12 JIC 37 flare on the other side?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 18, 2025, 8:32 AM
For connecting those two thread types, it’s a straight thread SAE O-Ring Boss male on one end with 1-5/8-12 threads, and a male JIC 37 degree flare on the other end with 1-5/16-12 threads. The body is a 90 degree elbow, so it’s meant to make that ORB to JIC flare transition while turning the line.

Will this fitting hold up in a marine environment? I'm thinking saltwater exposure.

Given its applications in marine and military uses, it should be suitable for saltwater exposure, yes.
