Question by: Tommy L on Jun 30, 2025, 1:46 PM
Will this restrictor adapter work with standard JIC fittings?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 2, 2025, 12:50 PM
It's designed to adapt between 9/16-18 male JIC 37-degree flare and 9/16-18 female JIC 37-degree flare fittings.
Question by: Ray E on Aug 11, 2025, 8:34 PM
got a line running 9/16-18 JIC on both ends and need to slow flow down a bit through that section, this restrictor do that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 13, 2025, 6:22 AM
Flow restriction is exactly what this fitting is built for. Both ends are 9/16-18 JIC 37 degree flare, male on one side and female on the other, so it threads right into an existing JIC line without needing additional adapters. The straight configuration keeps the hydraulic connections clean and in-line. For applications where you need to dial back flow through a specific section, this is the right style of fitting to reach for.

trying to swap out a restrictor fitting, are both ends on this one 9/16-18 JIC 37 flare?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 25, 2025, 10:20 AM
It is a straight restrictor adapter with a 9/16-18 male JIC 37 degree flare on one end and a 9/16-18 female JIC 37 degree flare on the other. Both ends are SAE 37 flare, and it is sized for 3/8 inch tube O.D.
Question by: Brenda F on Oct 14, 2025, 3:15 PM
what industries is this restrictor actually built for? trying to figure out if it fits our setup before we order
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 16, 2025, 6:20 AM
Pretty broad range covered here. This adapter sees use across marine and military applications, chemical processing, pulp and paper use, food and beverage processing, and offshore drilling. If your system falls into any of those categories, you're in the right territory. The steel construction holds up in tough conditions, and it's rated down to negative 40 degrees, so cold environments aren't a concern either.
