got a 3/8 male NPT line coming off a pump and need to tie into a 1/2 female NPT port at a 90 degree angle, this the right part for that?

trying to hook a 3/8 pipe male into a 1/2 pipe female and need it to turn 90 degrees. is that what this adapter does
