Manufactured by Eaton Aeroquip as part of the 2040 Series, this Steel Adapter, 1/4-18 Male NPT To 1/4-18 Female NPT, Straight provides a reliable same-size inline connection for grease, instrumentation, and most hydraulic system applications. The straight configuration maintains a clean, direct flow path without angular offset, making it well suited for space-constrained installations where alignment is critical.
Constructed from steel with NPTF threads on both ends, the adapter delivers secure, leak-resistant seating. The countersunk hex design allows for standard wrench engagement during installation. With an overall length (A dimension) of 1.39 inches, this compact fitting integrates readily into existing assemblies without adding significant length to the connection point.

Been looking for a straight pipe-to-pipe adapter for some instrumentation lines we got running off a hydraulic manifold. This a 1/4 NPT male on one end and female on the other, or am I reading that wrong?

You're reading it right. One end is 1/4-18 male NPT and the other is 1/4-18 female NPT, both straight through with no size reduction. It's a pass-through style adapter, so it's useful when you need to extend a line, change a fitting orientation, or bridge a gap between components that can't connect directly. Grease systems, instrumentation lines, and general hydraulic setups all fall within what this part is rated for.
