got a 3/8-18 male pipe thread on my line and need to step it down, is this the bushing that goes to 1/4-18 female?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 16, 2025, 9:06 AM
With a 3/8-18 male NPTF on one side and a 1/4-18 female NPTF on the other, this bushing is meant to adapt between those two pipe thread sizes.

trying to step a line down, is this the bushing that goes from 3/8 npt male to 1/4 npt female?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 30, 2025, 9:43 AM
Function-wise, yes. It is a 2081 Series steel reducer bushing with 3/8-18 male NPT on the outside and 1/4-18 female NPT on the inside, so it lets you adapt from a larger NPT port to a smaller NPT connection.

Will this adapter work for hydraulic systems, or is it just for grease fittings and stuff like that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 27, 2025, 6:15 AM
It's suitable for hydraulic systems, as well as grease and instrumentation applications.
