Steel Adapter, 0.50 Inch O-Ring Face Seal Shoulder Internal Braze

Description & Features

Part of the Eaton Aeroquip FC1229 Series, this Steel Adapter, 0.50 Inch O-Ring Face Seal Shoulder Internal Braze is designed for reliable hydraulic line connections in demanding industrial environments. The shoulder design aids in precise positioning during assembly, while the internal braze construction provides a secure, leak-resistant joint suited to high-pressure hydraulic systems.

Manufactured in steel and carrying catalog number C1EP83, this adapter features an A dimension of 0.42 inches and a B dimension of 0.38 inches. The 0.50-inch O-ring face seal (ORFS) configuration ensures a positive metal-to-metal seal with O-ring backup, making it well suited for hydraulic circuits where leak-free performance is critical.

Product Questions & Answers (2)

Question by: Warren H on Aug 6, 2025, 10:50 AM
Got a hydraulic line that keeps weeping at the connection point and I'm pretty sure it's a sealing issue. Would this ORFS adapter help lock that down compared to what I got now?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 7, 2025, 3:40 PM
O-ring face seal connections are built specifically for that kind of problem. The ORFS configuration on this adapter creates a metal-to-metal contact with an O-ring backup, which gives you a positive seal rather than relying on thread contact alone. If your current setup is using a different connection type and you're seeing seepage, switching to ORFS is a well-regarded fix in high-pressure hydraulic circuits where leak-free performance matters.
Question by: Dale M on May 4, 2025, 7:56 AM
What size is the O-ring face seal on this adapter?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 5, 2025, 9:37 PM
This adapter uses a 0.50 inch O-ring face seal, which should give you a good, tight connection for your hydraulic lines.
