does this coil spring fit snug on its own or do i have to stretch it out to get it over the hose?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 30, 2025, 5:16 PM
Depends on your hose's outer diameter. The coil is sized at 0.85 inch inner diameter, and it's meant to fit snugly against the hose OD. If it's a little tight going on, you can unwind the coil slightly to open up the ID enough to work it into place. That's a normal part of the install, not a sign you've got the wrong size.

got a hose that’s gettin rubbed up where it runs past a bracket. is this coil spring mainly for that kind of protection?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 17, 2025, 6:59 AM
Around moving parts or tight routing, the coil acts like a guard to protect the hose cover and reinforcement from abrasion and accidental damage.

Will this keep my hose from getting all chewed up where it rubs against the machine frame?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 28, 2026, 6:07 AM
Precisely. This steel coil spring protects the hose cover and reinforcement from abrasion and accidental damage, especially where it might rub against machinery.
