The Steel Protective Coil Spring, 0.61 Inch ID is engineered to safeguard hose covers and reinforcements from abrasion and accidental damage. Constructed from rust-resistant steel wire, this coil is ideal for maintaining the integrity of industrial hoses.
Designed for snug fitting around the hose outer diameter, expanding the coil's inner diameter by unwinding may be necessary for optimal installation. The coil spring provides an effective barrier, extending the operational life of your hose in demanding environments.
This product, under the brand Danfoss Power Solutions (II LLC Aeroquip), is categorized under hose protection solutions and is marked with Catalog Number C1CA75. The coil is not machine mountable and does not include a battery.

does this coil spring need to be stretched out to fit over the hose, or does it slide on pretty easy as-is?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 26, 2025, 8:48 PM
For most installations, you'll need to unwind the coil slightly to open up the inner diameter enough to work it onto the hose. The spring is meant to fit snug against the hose outer diameter, so a little expansion during installation is normal and expected. Once it's seated, that snug fit is what keeps it doing its job.
Question by: Darryl C on Apr 2, 2025, 6:09 AM
What size hose does this coil fit? I'm looking to protect the outside of a hose with a 0.6 inch diameter.
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 4, 2025, 6:28 AM
This protective coil spring is designed for hoses with an outer diameter that's very close to its 0.61 inch inner diameter. You might need to unwind it a bit to get it started.

Will this coil keep my hose from getting all chewed up on the job site?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 3, 2025, 9:26 PM
This steel coil spring is designed as a protective barrier. It helps prevent abrasion and damage to your hose cover and reinforcement, extending its life in tough environments.
Question by: Ricky D on May 22, 2025, 6:02 AM
got a hose that’s getting scuffed up where it rubs on the frame, is this coil spring basically made for that kind of deal
Answer by: Customer Support on May 23, 2025, 6:06 AM
For abrasion and accidental damage protection, the steel coil spring wraps around the outside of the hose and acts like a tough barrier to help keep the cover and reinforcement from getting chewed up in rough, industrial spots.
Question by: Jerry M on Aug 28, 2025, 8:32 AM
does this coil just slip over the hose or do you have to unwind it some to get it on there?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 29, 2025, 5:25 PM
For most hoses, you'll need to unwind the coil a bit to open up the inner diameter before sliding it over the outer surface. The 0.61 inch ID is meant to sit snug once it's in place, so expanding it slightly during installation is normal and expected. Once you release it, it closes back down around the hose and stays put.
