trying to swap out an old elbow fitting, how do i tell if this one matches up?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 2, 2026, 2:17 PM
Fit comes down to the connection details. This one is a short 90 degree elbow for -10 hose with a 7/8-14 female JIC 37 degree flare swivel on the end. If your existing fitting uses that same 7/8-14 JIC 37 flare female swivel and it is for -10 hose, you are looking at the same basic hookup.

How tough is this fitting? Will it hold up in a hydraulic system on a farm tractor?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 9, 2026, 7:07 PM
Constructed with high-grade steel, this fitting is designed to withstand challenging conditions, so it should be suitable for the hydraulic system on a farm tractor.
Question by: Shawn J on Dec 26, 2025, 7:50 AM
fitting says "reduced bore", does that mean the flow through it is gonna be restricted compared to a standard -10 fitting?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 27, 2025, 11:32 AM
Reduced bore fittings do flow slightly less than full bore versions at the same hose size, yes. The internal passage is a bit narrower, which is a tradeoff you get with the short 90-degree elbow geometry. For most hydraulic circuits running standard working pressures on a -10 hose, the difference is minor and well within acceptable limits. Where it matters more is in high-flow, low-pressure-drop applications, so just make sure your system isn't one that's sensitive to even small restrictions before you commit to it.
