Product Questions & Answers (3)

Question by: Brett C on Sep 30, 2025, 8:19 PM
Will this fitting hold up okay in a hydraulic system running around 2500 PSI?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 2, 2025, 1:45 PM
This steel reusable fitting is designed for systems using one-wire braid hose, so it should handle that pressure without issue, assuming your hose is also rated for it.
Question by: Stan H on Aug 6, 2025, 11:56 AM
trying to swap out a fitting on a -24 hose, is this one the straight female JIC swivel with 1-7/8-12 threads?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 7, 2025, 1:01 PM
It matches a -24 hose end with a 1-7/8-12 female JIC 37 degree flare swivel, and it is a straight configuration.
Question by: Rod R on Aug 5, 2025, 8:15 AM
fitting says "reduced bore" on it, does that mean flow's gonna be restricted compared to a standard -24 fitting?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 6, 2025, 8:47 PM
Reduced bore fittings do flow slightly less than a full bore version of the same hose size, yes. The bore is narrowed down from the standard -24 inner diameter, which keeps the fitting compact and structurally sound for its application. For most hydraulic circuits this isn't a problem, but if your system is already running tight on flow margins or pressure drop is a concern at that line size, it's worth accounting for that difference when you're sizing things out.
